The Annual Survey is Closing Soon: Help Us Set Funding Priorities for Your Child’s Education

Message from Interim Superintendent Parham on the annual survey

Dear ÌìÑÄÉçÇø Community,

I am honored to serve as the Interim Superintendent of Schools for the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø (ÌìÑÄÉçÇø).  This is my 30th year working in ÌìÑÄÉçÇø, and during that time, I’ve served in a variety of roles - including as an English teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Secondary Education, and the Assistant Superintendent of Education Services. Throughout my career in ÌìÑÄÉçÇø, I have witnessed firsthand how community engagement and collaboration can inform and improve the educational experiences of our students.

One meaningful way to engage with your child’s school and our district is by participating in the , which closes on Monday, February 10. We deeply appreciate those in the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø community who have already shared their feedback, and I encourage anyone who has not yet completed the survey to carve out a few minutes to share your thoughts.

The survey enables us to hear directly from students, parents, and staff regarding what matters MOST, and it helps us to determine where to direct resources and funding.

Survey topics include:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Social and Educational Experiences (School Climate)
  • College and Career Readiness
  • Homework Policies
  • Student Discipline
  • Mental Health
  • Bullying Prevention and Intervention
  • Parent and Family Engagement
  • And more!

The survey is available in multiple languages, is ANONYMOUS, and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Responses are reviewed by school staff, district staff, and the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø Board of Education to guide improvements across all campuses, and we read EVERY response to understand how we can better serve our students and families.  Please know that your input is critically important to us, because it plays a direct role in shaping initiatives that enhance the educational experience for ALL students.

Thank you for investing the time to help us deliver on our promise of creating the highest quality educational experience we can envision for our more than 38,000 students.

Sincerely,
Cassie Parham
